I would like to honor this week’s love Thursday with an image of our President taking the oath of office with his wife by his side – this was our view from the National Mall on Tuesday (yes, we had to look at the screen – we were very far!).

The love that these two share is evident. A catch of the eye, a touch of hands, a twinkle in their eye – their love is subtle, but oh so strong. You can feel their connection. May their love continue to grow and strengthen these next few years!

My daughter won’t remember this moment, but she was there – cheering in the crowd with her flag – “OBAMA!”. She witnessed hope, love, and change. She will be forever impacted by that day. She now has proof that she can be ANYTHING she wants to be.

A new day, a new president!

Just the feeling of being in Washington, D.C. during the inauguration was inspiring. Yes – there were a lot of people, yes – it was crowded, yes - it was cold, and yes, traffic and the D.C. Metro was unbelievable. But you what? I would do it again in a heartbeat.

We came from all walks of life, all across the country, to share in a monumental experience of our lifetime. We were all there for a common cause – a welcome change. In the words on my two year old daughter – “Obama! Our new president!”

I have so many inspiring images to share with you – but first, I must recover!
