We are trying to soak up the last bits of summer…..
Enjoying cooler evenings, kinda bummed about the days getting shorter, savoring watermelon after dinner, and absolutley living in our flip flops!

Thanks so much to everyone who left words of encouragement on my last post! It truly made my day!
When I came across this inspirational poem last week, the words spoke to me in ways that I could have never imagined. I have so many hopes and dreams for my photography and where I would like to see my business going. I have evolved in this space, and I am encouraged by every comment and e-mail that I receive!
As you might know, I am a self-taught photographer. My work is a direct result of my experimentation with photography and finding my own style. I have never had my work “judged” before – so you can imagine my apprehension when I submitted my work for the first time to a photography exhibit.
I received confirmation that two of the three images that I submitted – ‘be happy‘ and ‘collect your thoughts‘ – were accepted! I am absolutely floored, thankful, and honored all at the same time. The opening reception is October 1 – and I can’t wait to actually attend a gallery opening for a photography exhibit that will feature some of my work.
Little steps towards a big dream…..

Thank you for all of your wonderful comments and suggestions regarding polaroid instant film in my last post. I can’t wait to get my hands on a few more packs!
I have three packs of polaroid film left. Only 3 packs! I have been on the hunt for more, with little success. Looks like I’ll be moving my search online…..
I’m saving these last few packs for a special trip later on this month – more soon!
As you can probably tell, I visited a local rose garden on Sunday. It was an especially therapeutic session – just me, my camera, and my thoughts.
It’s amazing how everything becomes clear when you spend a little time alone!
