I’m going to take a brief rest from posting – I need a bit of a rest to rejuvenate my creative spirit.  There have been so many changes in my life recently, and I need a moment to step back and take it all in!  I have a small trip planned, and I hope to return next week with more images to share.

There are few things more lady like than attending an afternoon tea, complete with fancy hats and beautiful place settings.  I truly enjoyed spending my weekend with such lovely ladies that I also have the pleasure of calling my family.

I wanted to share my favorites here.   I definitely took too many shots, just to make sure that I got “the one”.  I kept thinking “Senior prom only happens once.”  I can only imagine what it must feel like to shoot a wedding.

It warms my heart when I see my daughter sharing the same experiences with my father as I did as a child.  Their bond is great -  it’s almost as if I am replaced!

Here he is in  his element – his hobby, his work, his livelihood.  And here she is sharing that with him.  Just as I did was so many years ago.

There was a time that I didn’t think they would get to share such a special bond, when our time together was almost cut short.  How sweet it is, when we don’t take any moment for granted.

Happy 60th Birthday to my father!

Guess what I discovered yesterday?  Beauty can be found in flowering weeds! (smile)

I usually don’t post twice a day, but I couldn’t resist.  I captured this moment at lunch today with my nephews.

On Saturday mornings, you can find my daughter and I at story time at our local Barnes and Noble.

I love this time we spend together, mostly because I had the same “ritual” with my mother.  I fondly remember going to the library on Saturdays and picking out a book that I would spend the next week reading.

My daughter’s only two years old, but she loves the singing and reading at the store.  I love how she sits on my lap and snuggles in my chest when she is a bit scared.  Plus, I get a break from reading the same books – over, and over again!
