Oh that brings back some memories. My grandmother had a whole shoebox with buttons in all colors and shapes. Beautiful composition and colors!

Brings back memories of a time when buttons were nearly a fashion statement all their own. Nicely captured.

I just love going to charity shops and antique shops and finding old treasures. Wonder who wore them and in what year. Fascinating.

I, too, love buttons. When we study the pioneers in my second and fourth grade classes, I have them create button strings as a part of experiencing things the pioneer children would have experienced. You would be amazed at how much pleasure those technology and entertainment driven modern children derived from simple buttons on a string. For nearly an hour (more than one year) a full class of children were enthralled. Simple pleasures.

Love your button collection. I was actually on ebay last week looking at buttons to buy.
