discovery project – ten month review

gabriellekaiphotography_octobercollageOctober was such a wonderful month!  This collage of the October images from my Daily Discovery project captures it all perfectly for me – beginning with opening of my very first gallery showing, and ending with very scary pumpkin!  The months just keep rolling by – and I am amazed by how much this project keeps pushing me, challenging me – even when I am sick or don’t feel like picking up my camera.  The end of the month and these reflections are so special for me though.  I guess that is true of most things, though – don’t you think?  When you are in the “thick of it” you begin having doubts, but you stick with it and when you look back, it was so worth it?  Yep, that’s exactly how I feel!

With the end of the year approaching, I am gathering my thoughts, ideas, and tips for those that are contemplating a similar project – taking a photo a day in 2010.  I have so much to say about this as well as some practices that are really working well for me.  Look for that post soon!

My favorite image from this month? Captured on the early morning of October 28, 2009:

And there you have it – ten months down, two more to go!

You already know that I admire your photography greatly. May I also say that I so admire your commitment and your passionate pursuit of photography. So many people just give up, or set newer, easier goals for themselves. I find your commitment to be inspiring. Maybe I’ll try the same in 2010. Hmmm…

Your photos are simply lovely. the soft hues and tones make me think that when I’m looking at your photos, I’m in a dreamland.
