When I came across this inspirational poem last week, the words spoke to me in ways that I could have never imagined. I have so many hopes and dreams for my photography and where I would like to see my business going. I have evolved in this space, and I am encouraged by every comment and e-mail that I receive!
As you might know, I am a self-taught photographer. My work is a direct result of my experimentation with photography and finding my own style. I have never had my work “judged” before – so you can imagine my apprehension when I submitted my work for the first time to a photography exhibit.
I received confirmation that two of the three images that I submitted – ‘be happy‘ and ‘collect your thoughts‘ – were accepted! I am absolutely floored, thankful, and honored all at the same time. The opening reception is October 1 – and I can’t wait to actually attend a gallery opening for a photography exhibit that will feature some of my work.
Little steps towards a big dream…..
