There is no denying the impact that the world feels today. And just like with families, the loss of an icon brings the world together. All of our lives were touched by the king of pop. Everyone remembered where they were, what they doing, what they felt when they heard his songs. We will never be the same.

this is a wonderful post for you to have done. i’ve heard a lot of judgmental people the past couple of days about michael. no matter what his recent life was like, he was truly an icon and contributed so much more than we give him credit for. i am glad that over the past 9 years, my husband and i have put in his greatest hits and danced around the living room to his very good and very catchy music. i can’t wait to do it again—and it won’t be just to celebrate his life. it will be for the same reason we always did. we love those songs! you’ve written perfectly for this sad thing.

A lovely tribute. Three icons in the entertainment industry were lost this week, Michael Jackson of course, Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon. May they all rest in peace.
