discovery project – six month review

june mosaic - gabrielle kaiI’m halfway there!  I love how this collage embodies summer ~

This marks the mid way point of my discovery project (a picture a day in 2009)!  Wow – six months.  When I started, I had no idea what I was really getting myself into, but I have grown to love this project – it means so much to me now.  I have started to think about what I would like to do with this collection once this year is completed.

My camera is officially part of me!  Case in point, every time my daughter sees a flower, no matter where we are, she tells me, “Mommy, take a picture!”

This month, all of my images caught up with me – I had to purchase an external drive store all of my images, 500 GB to be exact.  I now store all of my images on this hard drive – and so far, so good!   Also, I have found that uploading once a week is still working best for me.

If you are keeping up, read my reviews from January – May.

June was such a good month for me – I hope it was for you as well.  I’m looking forward to July!

My favorite image from this month?  Taken on June 8, 2009:

Do you have a favorite image from this past month?  I’d love to see it!

Congratulations on your half-way mark; I’m really looking forward to seeing your second half – your work is so simple, yet so beautiful! And yes – that collage embodies all thing summer; it almost tells a story w/out words. Keep up the great work! :-)
