how sweet it is

60When I was younger, I would spend summer evenings with my father in his garden as he watered his plants and vegetables.  He would spray my bare feet, and I would laugh, giggle, and run away – always to come back for more.

It warms my heart when I see my daughter sharing the same experiences with my father as I did as a child.  Their bond is great -  it’s almost as if I am replaced!

Here he is in  his element – his hobby, his work, his livelihood.  And here she is sharing that with him.  Just as I did was so many years ago.

There was a time that I didn’t think they would get to share such a special bond, when our time together was almost cut short.  How sweet it is, when we don’t take any moment for granted.

Happy 60th Birthday to my father!

My Grandfather was a yardman, and I remember riding around on the lawnmower and helping trim bushes. The best times were spent outside. Sweet picture!

That is an awesome story. Your daughter looks like she knows what she’s doing already.

Happy Birthday to your Dad! I have more fun in my garden now that I have a “little helper.” I hope he’ll remember these days fondly as you remember yours.

What a touching capture. My uncle is a farmer (among other things) and it was always a joy watching my daughter in the garden with him.

Happy Birthday to your dad. What wonderful memories your skillfully capturing for always.

WOW! I can’t voice my sentiments better than those comments already posted.
