a girl and her boots

bootsSome of you may remember this image as my old blog header – I hold it near and dear.

I am officially making the move from Picasa to Lightroom for my photo organization.  I still believe that Picasa is a great (not to mention, free) application – I just found that I need more control and features as my photography grows.  And of course, nothing will ever replace Photoshop!

While importing all of my older pictures into Lightroom, I ran across this one and realized that I never posted it.

Makes my heart sing ~

I have missed that old header. Definitely a classic. Congrats on the progress. Lightroom…sounds so sophisticated…(teasing in a good way). Can’t wait for more!

kath just bought a fabulous lightroom book. i am disappointed with the scott kelby book i bought. we are both struggling, it is a little intimidating. more than photoshop in a way because it is a file manager. ackkkk. i love the backs of those legs!!

I’ve always loved this picture since I discovered your blog. No need to see the rest of her – just that is so sweet & adorable.

Actually, you might find that Lightroom WILL replace Photoshop. These days I only use Photoshop to add my little watermark. If there is a special technique or texture I want to add, I still use PS, but Lightroom pretty much handles all my processing, not to mention the organizing ability and keywording. I’ve missed this shot in your header – my absolute fave.

When I was 4 or 5 I had a pair of red and black rubber boots. I would not take them off…except maybe to sleep. Not nearly as snazzy as these.

Cute photo! I’ll be making the switch to lightroom sometime in the near future. But for now, it’s Picnik for me!
