project complete

bright-yellowLast weekend, my daughter and I visited out local botanical garden.

I have finally finished processing my images, and I am proud to share my first completed project!  The Botanical Garden Project includes 17 images of the treasures we found.  My personal favorite is above.  Unfortunately, I don’t remember the names all the flowers, though most are orchids.  Please enjoy!

Keep watch under the ‘Projects’ Section of my blog – I plan to continue to add photography projects as I complete them.  And of course, you will find my current, year-long Discovery Project there as well!

On a side note, if you haven’t already, I would strongly suggest taking on your own creative project.  Whether it be photography, scrapbooking, knitting – anything that makes your heart sing.  You will not regret your decision!  Sometimes I find it hard to carve out the time in my day, but I am so fulfilled when I do make time for myself and my love of photography.

I would love to hear about what makes your heart sing, and how you make time for it in your day.

For me, it’s all about turning off the TV!

That is such a lovely photo…..I’m off to see the rest of them.

What beautiful images you’ve captured for your project. Before photography you could find me in my studio creating art with my glass work. I got stuck and have been focusing on the photography, but now I’m ready to recreate my images in my glass. Before dogs, I would work on my glass in the evenings and on the weekends, but after dogs it is just on the weekends. The photography I can do any time, which is every nice – I take my camera with me wherever I go.

i am one of those people who took a lot of twisting paths to finally arrive to my creative calling. i don’t believe it is always the taking of the photograph that makes my heart sing..i’m still a little preoccupied with the process of getting it right for that..but in the post-processing i really get lost in my singing heart. to see them up close and watch those images reveal their best view is a thrill beyond any of my other artistic endeavors. good question!
