argus seventy five

argusThe newest addition to my bag.

This Argus seventy-five vintage camera is older than I am.  Would you believe that I got it in it’s original box for under $10 (shipping included) from ebay?

After I opened my package, I took a moment to look over the scratches, nicks, and blemishes – so full of history.  I wonder who else opened that very same box and felt a surge of excitement?  What special moments has it captured?

All I know is that I am excited to try new experiences with my Digital SLR and the Argus.  My first attempt:

feb-17

Clearly, I have no idea what I’m doing.  I’ll have to work a bit more on my contraption.  It’s a bit blurry – it still feels a bit awkward in my hands, but I love it.  I look forward to pushing my creativity and just in time, spring is around the corner!

so excited …taking the time to look at it’s past drew me in.

Cool. I picked up an Argus Argoflex (couldn’t pass up a name like that) at my local antique store for $8. I have messed around with a few TTVF shots, but not with much success. I need to build myself a contraption. Have fun playing.

I think I just spent the last hour or so looking at all those contraptions…well, the contraptions on Page 1 and Page 6. So what does your contraption look like? This looks like fun! Love your first shot!!

I have some vintage box cameras that work just fine and like yours the images are interesting. My first camera was an Argus C33.
